Everest 3 High Pass Trek

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the lively streets of Thamel. In the evening, there will be a short briefing about the trek and climbing program. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Today is reserved for trek preparation, permit arrangements, and equipment checking. You may explore Kathmandu’s cultural sites or shop for any last-minute trekking gear. Your guide will provide a detailed briefing about altitude, safety, and the upcoming high passes and Island Peak climb. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Early in the morning, take a scenic mountain flight to Lukla with breathtaking Himalayan views. After meeting the trekking crew, begin trekking through Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and pine forests alongside the Dudh Koshi River before reaching Phakding. Overnight stay in Phakding.

The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River through beautiful forests and crosses several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, a challenging uphill climb leads to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

This day is important for altitude acclimatization. You can take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel or nearby viewpoints for stunning views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks. Explore local museums, cafes, and the vibrant Sherpa town before returning to Namche. Overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Leaving the main Everest Base Camp trail, the route heads toward the quieter Bhote Koshi Valley. The trail passes traditional Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, and scenic landscapes before reaching the peaceful village of Thame, known for its rich mountaineering history. Today’s trek follows a remote Himalayan route through yak pastures and alpine terrain. Enjoy magnificent mountain views as you gradually ascend into the high-altitude wilderness of the Everest region before arriving at Marulung. Overnight stay in Marulung.

The trail gradually climbs through isolated landscapes and glacial valleys toward Lumde. This short trekking day allows proper acclimatization before crossing the first high pass. Overnight stay in Lumde.

Today is one of the most spectacular days of the trek. After a steep ascent, reach Renjo La Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, and the turquoise Gokyo Lakes. Descend carefully to the beautiful lakeside village of Gokyo. Overnight stay in Gokyo.

Cross the Ngozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal, while enjoying dramatic Himalayan scenery. The trek is relatively short but adventurous due to the glacier terrain. Overnight stay in Thangnak.

An early morning climb leads to Cho La Pass, one of the most challenging sections of the trek. The pass rewards trekkers with stunning glacier and mountain views before descending carefully to Dzongla. Overnight stay in Dzongla.

The trail joins the classic Everest Base Camp route and continues alongside the Khumbu Glacier. Enjoy dramatic Himalayan scenery before reaching Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. Overnight stay in Gorak Shep.

Today is one of the highlights of the adventure. Trek to Everest Base Camp through rocky glacial terrain and stand at the base of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. After enjoying the incredible atmosphere, descend to Lobuche for overnight stay.

Cross the highest and most demanding pass of the trek, Kongma La Pass. The route offers incredible views of glaciers, icy lakes, and towering Himalayan peaks before descending into the Imja Valley and reaching Chhukung. Overnight stay in Chhukung.

The trail gradually ascends through alpine terrain toward Island Peak Base Camp. After reaching the camp, your climbing guide will provide basic climbing training and instruction on using climbing equipment. Overnight at tented camp.

Begin the summit climb early in the morning. The ascent involves glacier walking, fixed ropes, and a rewarding summit ridge with breathtaking Himalayan views. After celebrating at the summit of Island Peak, descend safely back to Chhukung. Overnight stay in Chhukung.

Descend through Pangboche and beautiful rhododendron forests to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Continue descending through Namche Bazaar and dense forests filled with pine and rhododendron trees. The lower altitude makes the walk more comfortable as you reach Monjo. Overnight stay in Monjo.

The final trekking day follows the Dudh Koshi River through villages and forests back to Lukla. Celebrate the successful completion of your Everest Three Pass Trek and Island Peak climbing adventure with your trekking team. Overnight stay in Lukla.

Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu while enjoying final views of the Himalayas. After arriving in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free day for rest, shopping, or sightseeing. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
