Nepal Visa Information.

Traveling to Nepal is easy and convenient for most international visitors. Nepal offers both Visa on Arrival and advance visa options, making the entry process simple for travelers visiting for trekking, tours, climbing, or other adventures.

Visa on Arrival

Most foreign nationals can obtain a Tourist Visa on Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and at designated land border entry points.

For faster processing, travelers are encouraged to complete the online visa application before arrival. Visa forms can also be filled out at airport kiosks upon arrival in Nepal.

Required Documents

To obtain a Nepal Tourist Visa, you will generally need:

  • A valid passport with at least 6 months validity
  • One passport-size photograph
  • Visa fee payment in cash (USD is recommended)
  • A completed visa application form

Tourist Visa Fees

Current Nepal tourist visa fees are:

  • 15 Days Visa – USD 30
  • 30 Days Visa – USD 50
  • 90 Days Visa – USD 125

Visa fees may change according to Nepal government regulations.

Visa Extension

Tourist visas can be extended at immigration offices in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

  • Minimum extension: 15 days – USD 45
  • Maximum tourist visa stay: 150 days per calendar year

Important Information

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
